Review of The Voice by Jennifer Anne Davis and Giveaway!!!

I was super excited to win a signed copy of this book from the wonderful ladies over at R&M Fab Book Reviews !!  I pretty much stalked the mailman every day in anticipation of getting my hands on it!  I was not disappointed at all.

In the story we meet Audrey, a young girl struggling to overcome a horrific event in her life.  She had been kidnapped and abused by her uncle and nothing could make her forget the memories of what had happened.  During her time in captivity, she heard a comforting voice.  She is certain there is no way she would have survived if it had not been for the voice.

Audrey and her family decide that it may be best for her to go spend some time with her aunt, maybe this will help her heal.  While at her aunts house, she meets Caleb and Justin, the neighbors who are twins her age.  Once things start to get back to normal, she will be thrown right back to her past.  Unexpected threats mess with her mind and make her relive every moment spent in that terrifying room.  Will Audrey be able to overcome her past?  Will she finally heal and be able to be herself again?  What happened to the voice she heard?  Will she ever hear it again?

I absolutely loved the story.  I felt as though I was right there with Audrey as she went on her journey to heal.  I was on edge as she received each threatening note or phone call.   I cheered for her, I laughed with her and I cried with her.

The emotions were raw and they were real.  Jennifer Anne Davis did a spectacular job at tackling a touchy subject.  I applaud her on this novel.  I am definitely a fan and will be anticipating her next creation!
