Tour Stop: Heroes Live Forever by Chris Karlsen

BLURB:

Elinor Hawthorne has inherited a house haunted by the ghosts of two medieval knights, Basil Manneville and Guy Guiscard. Basil is the man of her dreams, her knight in shining armor. She falls in love with him and he with her. Basil soon realizes she needs to live a normal life, a happy life with a mortal.

A lifetime later fate intervenes. Basil, still in love with Elinor, is told her spirit lives on in a young woman and he is given another chance at life to find her.

Excerpt

Although she’d at times experienced the impression of déjà vu, the encounters left her feeling unsettled. Ian Cherlein was a stranger to her. This inexplicable, powerful sensation of familiarity for him bothered her more than the other déjà vu situations.

Author Bio:

I was born and raised in Chicago. My father was a history professor and my mother was, and is, a voracious reader. I grew up with a love of history and books.

My parents also love traveling, a passion they passed onto me. I wanted to see the places I read about, see the land and monuments from the time periods that fascinated me. I’ve had the good fortune to travel extensively throughout Europe, the Near East, and North Africa.

I am a retired police detective. I spent twenty-five years in law enforcement with two different agencies. My desire to write came in my early teens. After I retired, I decided to pursue that dream.

I currently live in the Pacific Northwest with my husband, four rescue dogs and a rescue horse.

  1. Thank you for inviting me today and for the opportunity to spotlight my paranormal romance, Heroes Live Forever.

I am giving away one Smashwords coupon for my romantic thriller, Golden Chariot, to a randomly chosen commenter here. I look forward to talking to everyone.

Just a note: I will be away from my office for a brief period: 9:30 am Pacific Standard Time to approximately 12:30 in the afternoon.

Since Heroes Live Forever has two handsome ghosts haunting the heroine, let me ask how many of you believe in ghosts?

    • Hi Mom of 2,
I agree. I had some pretty weird things happen with no logical explanation. Mine took place in England not far from where I set Heroes Live Forever.
      Chris

  2. I believe in them, too. I haven’t personally had many experiences but have heard many. Plus, we believe in other things that can’t be explained, so why not ghosts?? Your book sounds intriguing, must add to my reading list!

    • Hi Deniz,
Thank you for the nice compliment on Heroes. I had a few experiences but my mom has had a bunch. She’s a ghost magnet:)
      Chris

  3. This is so cool!!! Thanks for the blog stop and giveaway!!! DO I believe in ghosts?? Umm… no, not like big scary white sheet ghosts, but I believe in spirits, i guess… I don’t really know my answer to that :OL

    • Hi Tamara,
I don’t think ghosts are the big scary kind although I haven’t encountered any personally. I’ve had weird, unexplained happenings but never saw the “spirit” behind them.
      Chris

  4. I believe that ghosts could exist. There are many things that have happened that can’t be explained. I think that if there is no proof that they don’t exist than it is possible.

    • Hi Sabrina,
I agree. There’s lots of unexplained happenings in the world. I’d rather not see a creepy ghost though.
      Chris

  5. Okay you had me sold with the knights! I love anything with knights in it. I guess it comes from being one, by maiden name! 🙂
